FAQ
If you have pre existing wall fireplaces that are made of non-combustible materials, you can put our bio ethanol inserts in them, no problem! Never install a burner into plastic or wood.
Bio Ethanol Fuel is an environmentally safe, clean burning product. It is safe for indoor or outdoor use and is a clean, plant-based fuel. It will have no toxic emissions, and only small amounts of CO2 and water vapor will be emitted. There will also be no soot, smoke, or residue that is common with wood-burning fireplaces. Never ingest fuel.
You will need to clean your fireplace occasionally, based on the amount you use it. To clean the fireplaces, first make sure there is no fuel in them and that there is no debris or dust in the burner. You can wipe them down with a soft, damp cloth. Never use anything abrasive, or any harsh chemicals. Never clean while the unit is on or hot.
We recommend purchasing Ignis fuel or Smart Fuel for your ethanol fireplaces. If you purchase any other type of fuel, there may be additives that can cause flares and safety hazards. Never use boat or car fuel in your fireplace.
These features do require installation. The fireplace must only be installed on a solid surface of non-flammable material. Be sure to keep any flammable materials such as drapes/curtains and any decorations at least 4 feet away from the fireplace.
