Say hello to the Tall Wickford Urn, the new must-have element for your yard. It is 30 inches tall and has those classic flutes and a rim that flares out gently, adding a touch of timeless style to any space. There are two beautiful finishes to choose from: a vintage-style Lead or a dark Matte Black. And the best part? It just gets better with time, becoming velvety and worn, as if it had a lot of stories to tell.
Campania’s Cast Iron Urns are made using traditional methods by way of smelting raw iron bricks in a blast furnace. Once liquified, the iron is poured into a sand-made mold to mature, a process known as sand casting . Slowly, the iron cools and solidifies. The mold is then broken open and from it emerges a beautiful and unique new piece of garden decor. This elaborate process removes undesirable contaminants and neutralizes impurities in the material, all while retaining the natural elemental aesthetic that gives our cast iron urns their inherent beauty. It is this beauty, along with the material’s durability, which has kept cast iron around for more than 2,500 years.
Drainage: Each container has a drainage hole. Always place any Campania product on a solid level surface and not directly on grass, soil, or an uneven surface. If a planter is to be left planted over the winter, ensure proper drainage. Avoid collection of standing water in the bottom of the planter which can cause rusting and deterioration.
Care & Maintenance: All cast iron pieces will rust over time, which is part of the inherent beauty of iron containers. If you wish to retain the finish as purchased, we recommend consulting your local hardware store for clear sealant products which are commercially available to preserve the finish. While our cast iron containers are durable, we still recommend that proper winter care, as set forth above, is followed.
